THE AVSC PROMOTES HEALTH AND WELL-BEING AND OUTREACH TO CITIZENS OVER 60 AND DISABLED RESIDENTS OF ANDERSON VALLEY. IT SERVES AS A PLACE FOR COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES AND GATHERINGS FOR ALL RESIDENTS AS WELL AS PROVIDING A CENTRAL MEETING PLACE FOR SENIORS AND THE DISABLED FOR NUTRITION PROGRAMS, HEALTH EDUCATION AND MONITORING, INFORMATION AND ASSISTANCE, TRANSPORTATION AND SOCIALIZATION. THE CENTER SEEKS TO ALLEVIATE PROBLEMS INHERENT WITH AGING, SUCH AS FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT, HEALTH, TRANSPORTATION, PROPERTY MAINTENANCE, ISOLATION AND LONELINESS.
