TO PUBLISH AND DISTRIBUTE A NEWSPAPER FOR THE EDUCATION AND ENLIGHTENMENT OF THE PEOPLE OF THE CATHOLIC DIOCESE OF ARLINGTON. THE PRIMARY AUDIENCE INCLUDES THE ACTIVE AND FAITHFUL CATHOLICS OF THE DIOCESE OF ARLINGTON; SECONDARILY, WE REACH OUT TO THE FALLEN AWAY CATHOLICS, IN AN EFFORT TO BRING THEM BACK IN RECONCILIATION WITH THE CHURCH; THIRD, THE HERALD ACTS AS A TOOL FOR EVANGELIZING THOSE NON-CATHOLICS WITHIN NORTHERN VIRGINIA.
