IS A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION FUNDED BY THE CITIES OF SHREVEPORT AND BOSSIER CITY AS WELL AS THE GREATER BOSSIER ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION AND THE PARISH (COUNTY) OF CADDO, THE STATE OF LOUISIANA AND BOSSIER PARISH SCHOOLS. BARKSDALE FORWARD ACTS AS AN ADVOCATE FOR BARKSDALE AIR FORCE BASE ON A LOCAL, STATE AND FEDERAL LEVEL. ITS MISSION STATEMENT IS TO RAISE THE AWARENESS OF THE SIGNIFICANCE OF BARKSDALE AIR FORCE BASE FOR NORTHWEST LOUISIANA, THE STATE AND NATIONAL SECURITY.
