THE PURPOSE OF THE BVVFD SHALL BE TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY ENDANGERED BY FIRE, IMMINET PERIL, OR AN EMERGENCY CIRCUMSTANCE. THE BVVFD SHALL ACQUIRE, MAINTAIN, AND OPERATE THE EQUIPMENT NECESSARY TO THE ACCOMPLISHMENT OF THIS PURPOSE; AND TO PROMOTE, PRACTICE, AND TEACH FIRE PREVENTION AND SAFETY.
