Using amateur baseball as its platform, build a stronger community in the greater Washington DC area. Community building is accomplished by partnering with community service organizations at our home games at Povich Field to recognize their work and the work of local community heroes. To showcase the breadth of our multicultural community, special emphasis is placed on recognizing particular groups through such programs as Juneteenth, Jewish Heritage Night, and Pride Night. Players and fans provide direct community service through a Roberto Clemente Community Service Day program, and funds are raised to improve publicly owned ballfields, particularly Shirley Povich Field owned by Montgomery Parks, part of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission.
