The organization's primary purpose and charitable mission is to promote the art and craft of biography and to further the interest of biographers. The organization also promotes online presentations and discussions, a popular podcast program, a coaching program, workshop, the Bio website, social media and awards and fellowships which are presented at the annual conference.
