THE FIRE DEPARTMENT PROVIDES AREA CITIZENS WITH FIRE PROTECTION AND RESCUE FROM PERILOUS SITUATIONS. OTHER ACTIVITIES INCLUDE TRAINING OF FIRE FIGHTERS, ACQUISITION AND MAINTENANCE OF FIRE FIGHTING APPARATUS, AND EDUCATING THE PUBLIC ABOUT FIRE PREVENTION AND SAFETY.
