A PUBLIC LIBRARY SERVING THE INFORMATION NEEDS OF THE 38,000 RESIDENTS OF THE CONNELLSVILLE AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT. ESTABLISHED THROUGH THE GENEROSITY OF ANDREW CARNEGIE. THE LIBRARY BUILDING WAS FORMALLY OPENED IN APRIL 1903. TEH BUILDING WAS PLACED ON THE NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES IN 1981.
