CHILDVOICE INTERNATIONAL
Mission
ChildVoice implements and administers comprehensive rehabilitative and developmental services through both center-based programs and a network of community-based programs. The Lukome Center, a non-traditional vocational institute that we established in northern Uganda in 2006, is home to our flagship center-based program. The center offers highly traumatized adolescent girls a suite of comprehensive services, including psychosocial counseling, group support, life skills training, parenting coaching, sexual health education, menstrual hygiene and sanitation training, vocational training, and more in a secure and nurturing environment. Meanwhile, our community-based programs in Uganda and Nigeria, implemented in safe spaces called Girl Empowerment Centers and Youth Empowerment Centers, allow us to respond to the evolving needs of displaced groups much more rapidly and at greater scale.
