COLUMBIA PRESBYTERIAN MEDICAL CENTER FUND INC. (CPMC FUND) WAS FORMED AS A SUPPORTING ORGANIZATION TO COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY AND PRESBYTERIAN HOSPITAL (WHICH HAS BEEN SUCCEEDED BY NEW YORK PRESBYTERIAN HOSPITAL) TO SERVE AS A VEHICLE FOR JOINT FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES BY THE UNIVERSITY AND THE HOSPITAL. CPMC FUND IS NO LONGER ACTIVELY USED FOR FUNDRAISING BUT CONTINUES TO HOLD CERTAIN ASSETS OF THE UNIVERSITY AND THE HOSPITAL AND RECEIVES OUTSTANDING BEQUESTS. ALL CPMC FUND ASSETS ARE USED DIRECTLY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE UNIVERSITY OR THE HOSPITAL.
