PURPOSES: 1) FOSTER AND ADVANCE THE INTERESTS OF CONSTRUCTION BOILERMAKER EMPLOYERS. 2) PROMOTE AND FURTHER HIGH STANDARDS OF QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE FOR WELDERS IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY. 3) DEVELOP A VOLUNTARY SYSTEM FOR CERTIFYING WELDERS EMPLOYED BY CONSTRUCTION BOILERMAKER EMPLOYERS. 4) COLLECT AND DISTRIBUTE INFORMATION CONCERNING THE INDUSTRY INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE CERTIFICATION AND EMPLOYMENT STATUS OF WELDERS. 5) STUDY AND REPORT ON THE BENEFITS OF WELDER QUALIFICATION AND PERFORMANCE CERTIFICATION. 6) PERFORM AND DO ANY AND ALL SUCH OTHER ACTS AS ARE NECESSARY, CONVENIENT AND PROPER TO THE ATTAINMENT OF THESE OBJECTIVES.
