FORMED IN 2000, COMMUNITY-WORD PROJECT HAS TAUGHT OVER 37,200 NYC YOUTH AND TRAINED OVER 980 TEACHING ARTISTS THROUGH A MULTIDISCIPLINARY, CO-TEACHING MODEL. STUDENTS IN COMMUNITY-WORD PROJECT'S ARTS RESIDENCY PROGRAMS HONE THE ACADEMIC, INTERPERSONAL, AND CREATIVE THINKING SKILLS THEY NEED TO SUCCEED IN SCHOOL AND LIFE.
