Founded in 1970, the Council for European Studies (CES) is the leading international organization for the study of Europe. CES aims to produce and recognize outstanding, multi-disciplinary research in European Studies through a wide range of programs. These include: 1) CESs annual International Conference of Europeanists; 2) various publications and special reports (most notably, the monthly online publication EuropeNow, which replaced online publication Perspectives on Europe); 3) interdisciplinary, thematic research networks that strengthen connections between and among European Studies scholars; 4) fellowship and grants programs that provide essential travel and research funds for both new and established scholars; 5) special awards that honor and identify the work of emerging and eminent scholars; 6) a website with links to a range of international research tools and media resources; and 7) a monthly newsletter highlighting CES-related news as well as external opportunities in Euro
