THE COUNCIL OF FAMILY AND CHILD CARING AGENCIES (COFCCA) IS ACTIVELY COMMITTED TO STRENGTHENING CHILDREN, FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES THROUGH STRATEGIC ADVOCACY, EDUCATION AND THE PROMOTION OF QUALITY, CULTURALLY COMPETENT CHILD WELFARE AND JUVENILE JUSTICE SERVICES IN THE STATE OF NEW YORK. COFCCA SEEKS TO ACHIEVE THESE GOALS BY WORKING TO STRENGTHEN THE CAPACITY OF ITS MEMBER AGENCIES TO PROVIDE HIGH QUALITY SERVICES.THE COUNCIL OF FAMILY AND CHILD CARING AGENCIES IS THE PRINCIPAL REPRESENTATIVE FOR NEARLY ALL THE NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS PROVIDING FOSTER CARE, ADOPTION, FAMILY PRESERVATION AND SPECIAL EDUCATION SERVICES IN NEW YORK STATE. WITH ABOUT 105 MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS, THE ORGANIZATION WORKS WITH ITS MEMBERS AND GOVERNMENT TO ENSURE QUALITY SERVICES FOR THE MOST VULNERABLE CHILDREN - CHILDREN WHO HAVE SUFFERED ABUSE AND ABANDONMENT AND CHILDREN AT RISK.
