THE TRUST IS A "MULTIPLE EMPLOYER WELFARE ARRANGEMENT" AS DEFINED IN SECTION 3(40) OF ERISA. ITS MISSION IS TO ENABLE ELIGIBLE EMPLOYERS TO PROVIDE OR MAKE AVAILABLE WELFARE BENEFIT COVERAGES TO THEIR ELIGIBLE EMPLOYEES AND SUCH EMPLOYEES' ELIGIBLE DEPENDENTS.
