DAYTON HISTORY'S PURPOSE IS TO PROMOTE AND DISSEMINATE HISTORICAL KNOWLEDGE OF DAYTON AND MONTGOMERY COUNTY, OHIO AND THE SURROUNDING MIAMI VALLEY REGION, TO COLLECT AND PRESERVE HISTORICAL MATERIALS, TO RESTORE AND MAINTAIN LOCAL HISTORICAL BUILDINGS AND SITES AND TO PROVIDE QUALITY EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES FOR THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY.
