THE DEWALT CEMETERY WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1850 IN DEWALT, TEXAS. ON NOVEMBER 14, 1993, THE DEWALT CEMETERY WAS AWARDED AND MARKED WITH A "TEXAS HISTORICAL MARKER" BY THE TEXAS HISTORICAL COMMISSION. THE FOUNDATION'S PRIMARY MISSION IS THE MANAGEMENT, CARE AND PRESERVATION OF THE CEMETERY.
