THE PURPOSES FOR WHICH FATHERS UPLIFT, INC. IS FORMED IS TO ASSIST FATHERS IN OVERCOMING BARRIERS THAT PREVENTS THEM FROM BEING ENGAGED IN THEIR CHILDREN'S LIVES, TO PROVIDE FATHERS WITH OPPORTUNITY TO SPEND TIME WITH THEIR CHILDREN IN A STRESS FREE SETTING, TO SUPPORT AGENCIES IN DEVELOPING CREATIVE WAYS TO INCREASE MALE ENGAGEMENT AND CREATE A FATHER FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT, TO ADDRESS FATHERS' CONCERNS ABOUT POVERTY AND IMPORTANCE OF THEIR ROLES IN THE LIFE OF THEIR FAMILY THROUGH SUPPORTIVE GROUPS, PSYCHOEDUCATIONAL SUPPORT, AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT THAT PROMOTES SELF-ADVOCACY, AND TO ENGAGE IN RESEARCH AND ADVOCACY THAT RENDERS SOLUTIONS ON WAYS TO ENGAGE FATHERS IN THE LIVES OF THEIR CHILDREN.
