The Corporation is organized and operated exclusively for social welfare purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the "Code"). Within the scope of the foregoing purposes, the corporation will support policies that strengthen the healthcare safety-net system, and improve access to, and the availability, delivery, efficiency and funding of, quality healthcare services within the State of Florida. The corporation will carry out these purposes by lobbying for laws, regulations, and policies that enable hospitals, surgery centers, and similar healthcare providers within the State of Florida to obtain access to funds necessary to support the provision of healthcare services to medically indigent individuals. The corporation currently anticipates spending approximately 90% of its time and funds on these activities.
