THE MISSION OF FRIENDS OF ANIMALS IN NEED IS TO ASSIST IN PROVIDING VETERINARY CARE TO FINANCIALLY CHALLENGED COMPANION PET OWNERS THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF RHODE ISLAND, IN ORDER TO AVOID THE SURRENDER, ABANDONMENT OR THE EUTHANIZING OF THEIR PET. WE WILL ACCOMPLISH THIS BY MAINTAINING CONTACT WITH VETERINARIANS THROUGHOUT THE STATE IN ORDER TO RECEIVE REFERRALS FROM THEM. THIS WILL HAVE THE ADDED BENEFIT OF LEAVING SPAACE AVAILABLE IN THE SHELTERS FOR THOSE PETS THAT MUST BE SURRENDERED OR STRAYS. ADDITIONALLY, FRIENDS OF ANIMALS IN NEED WILL ALSO STRIVE TO PROVIDE PET FOOD TO THOSE IN NEED TO HELP PEOPLE RETAIN THEIR PETS.
