THE MISSION OF FRIENDS OF SWVA IS: 1. TO PRESERVE, PROMOTE, AND PRESENT THE CULTUAL AND NATURAL ASSETS OF SWVA 2. TO WORK IN PARTNERSHIP IN THE REGION TO GENERATE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT THROUGH THESE EFFORTS 3. TO PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL AND CULTURAL OPPORTUNITITES FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND STUDENTS IN THE REGION 4. TO SHOWCASE THE CULTURAL ASSETS OF SWVA AT THE HEARTWOOD ARTISAN GATEWAY
