THE GI QUALITY IMPROVEMENT CONSORTIUM, LTD IS AN EDUCATIONAL AND SCIENTIFIC ORGANIZATION ESTABLISHED BY PHYSICIANS SPECIALIZING IN GASTROENTEROLOGY. THE CONSORTIUM'S PURPOSE IS TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF MEDICAL CARE GIVEN TO PATIENTS THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES AND ABROAD AND THEREBY IMPROVE AND PROMOTE THE HEALTH OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC CONSISTENT WITH SECTION 501(C)(3). THE COLLECTION AND SCIENTIFIC MEASUREMENT OF DATA COLLECTED IN REFERENCE TO THE QUALITY OF EDOSCOPIC PROCEDURES WILL IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF MEDICAL CARE BEING GIVEN TO PATIENTS. OVER TIME, IT IS BELIEVED THAT THE PROJECT CAN DETERMINE WHICH INDICATORS ARE GOOD MEASURES FOR IMPROVING PATIENT TREATMENT AND OUTCOMES.
