Mission

Our mission is to empower youth and marginalized genders including women, non-binary, and trans folk, and build community through action sports skill-building, equipment sharing, and accessible community events. We seek to transform regional action-sport culture toward a baseline of welcomeness for the benefit of a greater diversity of recreators in and around Montana. Girls on Shred operates through volunteer effort to host free clinics in skateboarding, roller skating, snowboarding and skiing. We facilitate sustainable skill-building, break down financial barriers to entry, and seek to create a sense of belonging in the actions sports community for participants. We believe together these actions can promote physical and mental wellness.
