Grand Rapids Farmers Market organizes and facilitates a twice-weekly market venue for local farmers. We educate the public on the value of local foods. We provide the necessary space and equipment so farmers can sell to consumers using all forms of payment. We administer food access programs including matching dollars to SNAP benefits. We operate an aggregation enterprise that collects products from multiple farmers and accesses wholesale accounts such as schools, hospitals, and restaurants; and also offers a weekly subscription box of produce for retail and wholesale sale. The aggregation enterprise provides farmers with more markets than they could achieve with a farmers' market booth.
