GRAYS HARBOR YOUTH LIVESTOCK ASSOCIATION WORKS WITH AGRICULTURE TEACHERS, 4-H LEADERS, AND COUNTY EXTENSION AGENTS TO ORGANIZE THE SALE PARTICIPANTS, ASSIST THEM IN KEEPING ACCURATE RECORDS AND HELPING THEM CARE FOR THEIR ANIMALS IN ORDER TO SHOW AND SELL THESE ANIMALS AT THE FAIR. GRAYS HARBOR YOUTH LIVESTOCK ASSOCIATION ALSO ENCOURAGES AND ASSISTS THE YOUTH IN SOLICITING BUYERS FOR THE AUCTION. THE ORGANIZATION IS FUNDED BY THE COMMISSION ON THE SALES PRICE OF THE ANIMALS. THE FUNDS ARE USED TO PAY THE EXPENSES OF THE AUCTION.
