THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE GLS MEMORIAL FUND IS TO HONOR THE MEMORIES OF GREG RICHARDS, LARRY POLATSCH AND SCOTT WEINGARD WHO WERE TRAGICALLY LOST ON SEPTEMBER 11, 2011 IN THE ATTACK ON THE WORLD TRADE CENTER. THE FUND RAISES FUNDS TO PRIMARILY ENDOW SCHOLARSHIPS TO THE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN FOR STUDENTS IN NEED OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR COLLEGE EDUCATION. THE FUND EXTENDED ITS MISSION TO INCLUDE MAKING CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS TO OTHER WORTHWHILE ORGANIZED CHARITIES IN MEMORY OF THE THREE INDIVIDUALS HONORED BY THE FUND.
