THE ALLIANCE'S MISSION IS TO PROMOTE THE PROTECTION, RESTORATION, ENHANCEMENT, UNDERSTANDING, AWARENESS AND WISE USE OF THE NATURAL RESOURCES OF THE GULF OF AMERICA THROUGH ALIGNED AND COOPERATIVE EFFORTS INVOLVING RESEARCH, PLANNING, MANAGEMENT, INFORMATION AND RESOURCE SHARING AND PUBLIC EDUCATION.
