To engage in activities to promote and to improve the availability of housing opportunities for all persons, to combat community deterioration, and to inform and to educate the general public and members of the construction and property management industry on issues affecting the availability of housing opportunities so that the general welfare of the southeastern area of the State of Michigan shall be enhanced and improved and to engage in such additional charitable, educational and scientific activities within the meaning of Section 501 (c) (3) of the Code as the Board of Trustees may from time to time determine.
