THE ORGANIZATION WAS ESTABLISHED TO SECURE FUNDING TO SERVE SENIORS IN BROWARD COUNTY THROUGH THE OLDER AMERICANS ACT (OAA), AS MANAGED BY THE AREA AGENCY ON AGING OF BROWARD COUNTY (AAABC). RECOGNIZING THE VULNERABILITY OF SINGLE-SOURCE FUNDING DEPENDENCY, LEADERSHIP IMPLEMENTED STRATEGIC FINANCIAL DIVERSIFICATION THROUGH PROGRAM EXPANSION. BY 2022, THE ORGANIZATION HAD SUCCESSFULLY REDUCED ITS FEDERAL FUNDING DEPENDENCY FROM 100% TO APPROXIMATELY 60%.
