IN THIS CAPACITY, IFCA'S FUNCTIONS INCLUDE NEGOTIATING AND ADMINISTERING COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENTS WITH UNIONS THAT REPRESENT THE EMPLOYEES OF IFCA'S MEMBERS; PROMOTING THE INTERESTS OF FURNITURE SYSTEMS AND INTERIOR FINISH CONTRACTORS; PROVIDING A CONDUIT FOR THE INTERCHANGE OF INFORMATION BETWEEN AND AMONG OUR CONTRACTORS; DEALING WITH OWNERS, ARCHITECTS AND GENERAL CONTRACTORS; ASSISTING, WHERE APPROPRIATE, WITH CLAIMS, COLLECTIONS AND JURISDICTIONAL DISPUTES AFFECTING OUR MEMBERS; AND TAKING A PRO-ACTIVE ROLE TO PROMOTE OUR INDUSTRY. IN ADDITION, IFCA OFFERS ASSISTANCE IN TRAINING AND EDUCATING OUR MEMBERS AS WELL AS DISPENSING INFORMATION RELEVANT TO OUR INDUSTRY.
