The mission of The Jackson Art Center is to maintain the historic Jackson School as affordable studio space for local artists, and to share our talents through art education - with DC students, homeless children, seniors, and others for whom art can enrich their lives. Respecting the history of the former public school that we make home, Jackson artists make arts education our mission. Jackson artists work together to coordinate free art workshops, contributions, and fundraising for DC residents in Wards 8, 2, 3, 4, and throughout the city.
