THE MISSION OF JOSHPROVIDES IS TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR THOSE LIVING WITH EPILEPSY OR OTHER SEIZURE DISORDERS THROUGH THE DISTRIBUTION OF SEIZURE ALERT DEVICES RECOMMENDED BY THE CLIENT'S PHYSICIAN; SPONSORING THE SEIZURE ALERT TRAINING OF SERVICE DOGS; OFFERING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE WITH MEDICAL SERVICES FOR DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF SEIZURES, AS WELL AS SAFETY DEVICES SUCH AS HELMETS, COOLING VESTS AND OTHER MEDICALLY NECESSITATED ITEMS; AND AWARDING TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE TO MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS THROUGH RIDE SHARE PROGRAMS, GAS CARDS AND BUS PASSES. IN ADDITION, JOSHPROVIDES STRIVES TO ELIMINATE THE STIGMA AND SOCIAL ISOLATION ASSOCIATED WITH EPILEPSY THROUGH COMMUNITY EDUCATION AND EPILEPSY AWARENESS AND SPONSORING A VIRTUAL EPILEPSY SUPPORT GROUP THAT MEETS TWICE A MONTH.
