THE ORGANIZATION IS THE BARGAINING UNIT (NUMBER 331), RECOGNIZED BY THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, FOR LABOR UNION MEMBERS EMPLOYED BY THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES AS ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH SPECIALISTS AND RELATED PROFESSIONALS. IT MANAGES AND ORGANIZES ISSUES OF CONCERN TO ITS MEMBERS (I.E. WAGES, BENEFITS AND WORKING CONDITIONS) AND COORDINATES WITH ITS MEMBERS' LABOR UNION, WHICH THEN BARGAINS ON BEHALF OF THE ORGANIZATIONS AND ITS MEMBERS WITH THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES.
