(MHAUS OR THE ORGANIZATION) IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION THAT WAS FORMED FOR THE PURPOSE OF INCREASING THE MEDICAL PROFESSIONS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC'S AWARENESS AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE SYNDROME, MALIGNANT HYPERTHERMIA (MH). MHAUS IS DEDICATED TO REDUCING THE MORBIDITY AND MORTALITY OF MH BY IMPROVING MEDICAL CARE RELATED TO MH, PROVIDING SUPPORT INFORMATION FOR PATIENTS, AND IMPROVING THE SCIENTIFIC UNDERSTANDING AND RESEARCH RELATED TO MH. IT PERFORMS THESE OBJECTIVES BY PUBLISHING NEWSLETTERS AND ARTICLES, HOSTING EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS, ATTENDING APPROPRIATE PROFESSIONAL AND PUBLIC SEMINARS TO DISSEMINATE INFORMATION ABOUT THE SYNDROME AND PERFORMING SUCH OTHER FUNCTIONS AS REQUIRED TO INCREASE THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE SYNDROME.
