The Marine Exchange of the San Francisco Bay Region (SFMX) is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization that advocates on behalf of its 200+ member companies and organizations across the maritime and related land transportation sectors. SFMX promotes the safety, security, efficiency, and environmental stewardship of maritime commerce in the region. The organization provides vessel tracking services, data sharing, and operational support to its members as well as federal and state agencies. SFMX conducts research on maritime safety and security practices, supports pollution prevention efforts, and contributes to regional planning and policy development through coordination with industry and government partners.
