THE MISSION OF MOVEABLE FEAST IS TO FOSTER A COMMUNITY THAT CARES FOR MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN LIVING WITH HIV/AIDS, CANCER, AND OTHER LIFE-THREATENING ILLNESSES BY PREPARING AND DELIVERING NUTRITIOUS MEALS AND GROCERIES AND PROVIDING NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING AND OTHER SERVICES. THE DISEASES THAT MOVEABLE FEAST FOCUSES ON ARE HIV, CANCER, RENAL INSUFFICIENCY, CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE AND DIABETES. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO OFFERS A COMPASSIONATE CARE FEEDING PROGRAM FOR PEOPLE IN HOSPICE. THE PEOPLE WHO RECEIVE THE MEALS ARE UNABLE TO ACCESS, AFFORD OR PREPARE HEALTHY MEALS FOR THEMSELVES. REGISTERED DIETITIANS ADMINISTER MEDICAL NUTRITION THERAPY TO CLIENTS IN THEIR HOMES AND OVER THE PHONE. THERE ARE MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION SERVICES OFFERED FOR QUALIFIED CLIENTS TRAVELING WITHIN THE BALTIMORE CITY LIMITS. MOVEABLE FEAST ALSO OFFERED A CULINARY ARTS TRAINING PROGRAM TO PEOPLE WHO WERE UN- OR UNDEREMPLOYED. ALL OF THE SERVICES AT MOVEABLE FEAST ARE FREE TO CLIENTS. MOVEABLE FEAST OFFER
