THE COMMITTEE HAS TWO PRIMARY PURPOSES: (A) BRINGING ABOUT CIVIC BETTERMENT AND SOCIAL IMPROVEMENT, AND PROMOTING THE COMMON GOOD AND GENERAL WELFARE OF THE PEOPLE BY SUPPORTING THE CONTINUATION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE AMERICAN SOCIAL SECURITY AND MEDICARE SYSTEMS AND WORKING TO MAINTAIN THE INTEGRITY OF THE FEDERAL OLD AGE AND SURVIVORS, DISABILITY AND HOSPITAL TRUST FUNDS; AND (B) EDUCATING THE PUBLIC ON SUBJECTS BENEFICIAL TO THE COMMUNITY INCLUDING THE IMPORTANCE OF AMERICA'S SOCIAL SECURITY SYSTEM.
