THE OBJECTIVE OF THE INSTITUTE IS TO ASSURE A CONTINUOUS GROWING CONSUMPTION OF FISH AND SEAFOOD PRODUCTS IN THE UNITED STATES IN ORDER TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE OVERALL FOOD REQUIREMENTS AND NUTRITIONAL NEEDS OF THE POPULATION AND TO ENHANCE THE WELFARE OF THE INDUSTRY,THUS PROVIDING EMPLOYMENT AND INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES.
