Oklahoma Fraternal Order of Police
Mission
The Oklahoma Fraternal Order of Police Legal Defense Plan, Inc. is organized and shall be operated exclusively for exempt purposes within the meaning of Section 501 c8 of the Internal Revenue Code, as amended or corresponding provisions of any future United States internal revenue law, and to provide for the payment of exempt legal defense expenses incurred by members of the subordinate lodges of the Oklahoma Fraternal Order of Police, an Oklahoma nonprofit corporation described in Code Section 501 c8. The Oklahoma Fraternal Order of Police Legal Defense Plan, Inc. is designated as a non-profit corporation. The corporation shall not carry on any other activities not permitted to be carried on by any organization exempt from federal income tax under Section 501c8 of the Internal Revenue Code or corresponding section of any future federal tax code. The property of the corporation is irrevocably dedicated to its exempt purpose under Section 501 c8 of the Internal Revenue Code.
