THE OVERLAND STAGE STAMPEDE RODEO IS AN ANNUAL EVENT IN THE CITY OF GREEN RIVER, WYOMING. IT IS ORGANIZED AND RUN BY A SMALL GROUP OF VOLUNTEERS THAT MAKE UP THE COMMITTEE. WE DEPEND ON ADDITIONAL VOLUNTEERS, DONATIONS OF CASH, SERVICES AND ITEMS LIKE FOOD AND PRODUCTS FROM SPONSORS AND FUND RAISERS TO PAY FOR ALL THE THINGS THAT IT TAKES TO PUT ON OUR TWO DAY SHOWS (RODEOS). OUR SHOWS ARE PUT ON THE FIRST FRIDAY AND SATURDAY OF JUNE EACH YEAR. WE MEET TO PLAN AND PREPARE FOR THE EVENT YEAR-ROUND. NO ONE ON THE COMMITTEE IS PAID AS WE ARE TOTALLY RUN BY VOLUNTEERS.
