THE PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE FOR WHICH THE ASSOCIATION WAS FORMED IS TO PROMOTE FRIENDLY RELATIONS AND CONFIDENCE AMONG ITS MEMBERS; TO ENCOURAGE THE EXTENSION AND MAINTENANCE OF MOTOR HIGHWAYS AS A COMMERCIAL ASSET OF THE COUNTRY; TO AFFORD OPPORTUNITIES TO MEMBERS OF ASSOCIATING AND EXCHANGING VIEWS WITH EACH OTHER; TO TAKE SUCH CONCERTED ACTION AS MAY BE DESIRABLE TO ADVANCE IN EVERY WAY THE WELFARE AND BEST INTEREST OF COMMERCIAL MOTOR TRANSPORTATION SO THAT IT MAY MERIT THE FULL CONFIDENCE OF PUBLIC WHICH IT SERVES; TO MAKE, ENTER INTO, CARRY OUT AND ENFORCE ANY CONTRACT, AGREEMENT OR TRANSACTION WHICH IT MAY FIND CONVENIENT PERTAINING TO ITS PURPOSE; AND TO SO, PERFORM AND ENGAGE I SUCH OTHER ACTIVITIES AS WILL PROMOTE AND SAFEGUARD THE INTEREST OF OWNERS AND OPERATORS OF MOTOR TRUCKS AND MANUFACTURERS AND DEALERS IN MOTOR TRUCKS AND THEIR ACCESSORIES.
