Our mission is to provide free healthcare services, education, and training to the most vulnerable, poorest, and underserved. In our commitment to support the rare disease community, we sponsored a child who has a rare form of T-cell lymphoma to depart the Republic of Congo for specialized treatment in the United States. The child came to the US with his Mom. Airline tickets and insurance were paid for by the organization (receipt attached). Celeste, the child, arrived in the US in early December and commenced treatment immediately. The sponsorship agreement stipulates that PHS will support their medical expenses (they have been granted insurance through our partnership with an NGO) and accommodation (they are living with a host family).
