THE PEWEE VALLEY CEMETERY WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1889 ON APPROXIMATELY 14 ACRES IN PEWEE VALLEY, KENTUCKY. THE EASTERN SECTION WAS ORIGINALLY SEGREGATED AS A THE BLACK CEMETERY, AND ANOTHER SECTION WAS LATER ASSIGNED FOR CONFEDERATE CEMETERY FOR THE VETERANS FROM THE PEWEE VALLEY CONFEDERATE VETERANS HOME. THE PRIMARY CEMETERY HAS BEEN ON THE WEST SIDE OF THESE TWO. A VOLUNTEER, CONTINUES TO OVERSEE THE EASTERN SECTION. THE WESTERN CEMETERY IS MANAGED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS.
