THE MISSION OF THE PHILADELPHIA ULSTER SCOTTISH PIPE BAND IS TO FOSTER EXCELLENCE IN THE SCOTTISH ARTS, AND IN PARTICULAR THAT OF PIPE BAND CRAFT IN THE UNITED STATES, THROUGH: EDUCATION OF ITS MEMBERSHIP AND THE PIPE BAND COMMUNITY; PERFORMANCE AND DEMONSTRATION TO THE PUBLIC; COMPETITION ON NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL STAGES. FURTHER, IT IS THE MISSION OF THE PHILADELPHIA ULSTER SCOTTISH PIPE BAND TO IMPROVE THE MUSICIANSHIP OF ITS INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS THROUGH THE ABOVE MEANS OF PERFORMANCE AND COMPETITION.
