THE ORGANIZATION WAS ESTABLISHED AS A PROFESSIONAL SOCIETY FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH THE PURPOSE OF EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL ADVANCEMENT FOR INSTITUTIONAL GROUNDS MANAGERS WHO WORK FOR ORGANIZATIONS SUCH AS COLLEGES AND UNIVERISTIES, MUNICIPALITIES, PARK AND RECREATION FACILITIES, OFFICE PARKS, APARTMENT COMPLEXES, HOTELS/MOTELS, CEMENTARIES AND THEME PARKS.
