Roshni

Mission

Roshni was founded in 2016 by an immigrant woman artist of color to address a lack of Diversity and Inclusion in the Performing Arts in Denver metro. We focus on cross-cultural collaborations among diverse populations we serve. Opportunities and platforms to showcase and honor different types of art and projects that bring people together from diverse backgrounds while making it relevant and accessible to local residents. The intention is to provide more culturally responsive arts programming and to use Arts not just for entertainment but also as an effective tool for community building, well-being, and promoting empathy. Our ten year-round programs for youth/adults have at their core a development of community and connectivity among participants and audiences. We welcome local residents into our space. We strives to share their stories and performances with wider audiences from across metro Denver, providing insights and promoting understanding between cultures and identities.
