THE SANTA BARBARA POLICE ACTIVITIES LEAGUE (SBPAL) STRIVES TO BUILD THE BRIDGE BETWEEN COPS, KIDS, AND OUR COMMUNITY THROUGH MENTORSHIP, LEADERSHIP, AND ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS. THE SANTA BARBARA POLICE ACTIVITIES LEAGUE (SBPAL) IS DEDICATED TO FOSTERING POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN YOUTH, LAW ENFORCEMENT, AND THE COMMUNITY THROUGH MENTORSHIP, ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT, AND LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS. WE MAINTAIN AN OPEN-DOOR POLICY, SUPPORTING ANY YOUTH WITHIN THE REQUIRED AGE GROUP, WITH A FOCUS ON THOSE WHO MAY NOT HAVE YET FOUND THEIR VOICE OR NICHE. OUR PRIMARY GOAL IS TO EMPOWER YOUTH TO ACHIEVE SUCCESS BEYOND HIGH SCHOOL, AND WE PROUDLY MAINTAIN A 9-YEAR TREND OF A 100% GRADUATION RATE, WITH ALL GRADUATES GOING ON TO COLLEGE, MILITARY SERVICE, OR TRADE SCHOOL. SINCE 1999, SBPAL HAS GROWN FROM SERVING 50 YOUTH TO PROVIDING NO-COST PROGRAMMING TO OVER 1,300 YOUTH ANNUALLY, HELPING THEM DEVELOP SELF-CONFIDENCE, LEADERSHIP SKILLS, ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT, AND A STRONG SENSE OF COMMUNITY.
