TO RESTORE AND PRESERVE THE HISTORIC CHARACTER AND ARCHITECTURAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE LANDMARK ST. BARTHOLOMEW'S SITE (CHURCH, COMMUNITY HOUSE AND GARDENS) IN THE CITY OF NEW YORK. ITS MISSION IS TO RAISE FUNDS NECESSARY TO HELP RESTORE, PRESERVE AND MAINTAIN THE BUILDING EXTERIORS AND GARDENS OF THE ST. BARTHOLOMEW'S SITE AS A GIFT TO THE CITY AND TO THE NATION, AND IN SO DOING, TO BROADEN PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE IMPORTANCE OF HISTORIC PRESERVATION IN THE URBAN ENVIRONMENT.
