THE ST. CROIX INTERNATIONAL WATERWAY COMMISSION WAS FORMED UNDER A JOINT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE STATE OF MAINE AND THE PROVINCE OF NEW BRUNSWICK. ITS MISSION IS TO ENSURE CO-OPERATIVE, COMPREHENSIVE MANAGEMENT OF THE ST. CROIX INTERNATIONAL WATERWAY'S NATURAL, HISTORICAL AND RECREATIONAL RESOURCES TO PROVIDE MAXIMUM LONG-TERM BENEFITS IN ENVIRONMENTAL, CULTURAL AND ECONOMIC TERMS TO THE PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN OR VISIT THE ST. CROIX REGION.
