Tampa Federation of Garden Club

Mission

Organization's primary purpose is to engage exclusively in activities which are charitable, educational, scientific within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, including the following: 1. To further the education of members and the general public in fields of gardening, horticulture, botany, landscape design, conservation of natural resources, civic beautification, solid waste management and nature studies.2. To sponsor lectures, workshops, and other educational programs dealing with gardening and related subjects.3. To promote and foster the beautification and improvement of the City of Tampa and the County of Hillsborough. 4. To organize flower shows, exhibitions and displays to create an interest by the general public in the aims and objectives of the Tampa Federation.5. To work with the physically and mentally handicapped in local institutions andpromote the welfare of such persons through garden therapy.
